John C. Graham, CPA, PFS

John is an owner and founding member of Graham & Company, P.C.  Since 1987, John has served individuals and business clients in a broad range of industries.  His expertise is tax preparation, tax planning and personal financial planning.  He has experience with foreign income tax issues including helping individuals (expatriates) and employers understand the complexities of working outside the U.S.  John provides guidance to new businesses to help them select the type of entity they should choose based upon their individual facts and circumstances.

John received a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.  His prior professional experience includes providing audit and tax services with the small business division of KPMG Peat Marwick in Chicago.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of CPAs.  John has also served as a board member with the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, Sinapu and as a volunteer with the Sierra Club's Inner City Outings program.  He enjoys raising honey bees, traveling, backpacking and taking cycling trips with his family. 

Tonia Vermilye

Tonia is an owner and founding member of Graham & Company, P.C.  She has over twenty-eight years experience in private and public accounting.  She has experience serving businesses in the real estate, construction and service industries.  She has performed all the major accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger reconciliation, budgeting and payroll.  She combines this diverse experience with client focused principles to provide outstanding tax, accounting and consulting services to small businesses and individuals. She is also responsible for evaluating the firms software and technology needs to stay on top of emerging trends.

Tonia received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting from Regis University.  Tonia enjoys vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, baking and walking with and training her rescued dog Lilly.

Julie Martin, CPA

Julie has over thirty years of experience spanning a wide range of accounting expertise.  Julie is currently specializing in tax preparation focusing primarily on individual and corporate returns. Prior to this, she worked for Ernst & Young in their audit division serving the needs of manufacturing and insurance clients.  She then worked in a variety of accounting roles including Financial Reporting Manager for Apollo Travel Services (a subsidiary of United Airlines) and Corporate Accounting Manager for Galileo International (a publicly traded corporation). 

Julie received a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana.  Julie is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and reading.

Diane Sturm, CPA

Prior to joining Graham & Company, Diane spent over fifteen years serving the tax function of a large, publicly traded manufacturer where she gained significant experience in income tax compliance, income tax accounting, and tax controversy. Prior to her tenure in industry, she spent eight years in public accounting where she served a diverse client base of individuals and closely held small businesses including real estate, construction, and medical and dental professionals.

Diane received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Lake Erie College. She is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs. In her spare time, Diane enjoys cooking, traveling with family and friends and football.

Lacey Barnes Arrington

Lacey has nearly a decade of experience in individual, business, trust and exempt organization taxation. She graduated with a Masters in Tax and a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from CU Boulder. She has a diverse background in many industries, including thirteen years training horses professionally and eight years in the restaurant industry. After living a decade in the UK and Midwest, she returned home to Boulder in 2011 to be closer to family. She enjoys adventures with her two young kids and family, mountain biking, skiing and hiking.

Charisse Shaw

Charisse has over fifteen years experience in private and public accounting, bookkeeping, payroll tax reporting and the administration and reporting for family offices.  She was the Operations Manager for a CPA firm in Austin, TX for many years before relocating to Boulder, CO.  Her experience includes financial management, financial reporting and analysis, as well as individual and partnership tax support.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, music and exploring the outdoors.

Natalie Atlas

Natalie received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX. She moved to Colorado twelve years ago and has worked in the customer service industry. She has six years of experience in bookkeeping and small business administration. Her hobbies include botany, puzzles and animals.
